Raised in a family with a rich artistic background, Astina honed his skills at Penestanan Ubud, where he learned the Balinese tradition of painting. His pieces reflect a strong Ubud style, combining the use of black ink and bamboo brushes to create an authentic aesthetic, and he adds vibrant oil colors for a stunning finish.
