Artist Wekku Ari Sääski lives in Ubud, Bali, with his wife and two children. Wekku came to Indonesia in the late 1990s, as an art student and has remained in residence ever since. Wekku’s art is eclectic, it captures a diversity of impressions taken from his travels through the Indonesian archipelago, photographing and filming landscapes, people and their unique cultures. Wekku has a special affinity for Bali, evident in much of his art.
