Artist Ni Wayan Sunadri Soki’s art work carries on the creative traditions of her father I ketut Soki. As a boy, I Ketut Soki was one of two chldren to receive art lessons from the famous Arie Smit, and a founding member of what was to become known as the “Young Artists” movement. Under the watchful eye of her talented father, Ni Wayan Sunadri Soki started painting while she was still in elementary school, first drawing images of rice planting and harvesting. Today, her paintings capture everyday Balinese life, they combine lush greens, blues and golds, presented in intricate detail.
